RSE 3: Making the Big Talk Many Small Talks (Post-Primary)

Helping parents have open conversations about relationships and sexuality.

1 h 30 minLocation 1

Service Description

This practical online session supports parents of post-primary students to have open, age-appropriate conversations with their teenager about relationships, sexuality and growing up. Building on the skills explored in RSE 1 and RSE 2, the session looks at how one difficult or intimidating “big talk” can become a series of smaller, more natural conversations as opportunities arise. Parents will explore practical ways to start conversations, listen without judgement and create an environment where their teenager feels comfortable asking questions and talking openly. The session aims to give parents greater confidence to discuss relationships and sexuality while supporting their teenager to develop healthy attitudes, boundaries and decision-making skills.
