Strategic Plans
NPC’s strategic plans set out our vision, priorities and commitments for each stage of the organisation’s development. They explain how NPC works to support and empower parents, represent the parent voice and strengthen partnership across education. Together, the plans show how our work has evolved to support parents and improve outcomes for children and young people across Early Years, primary and post-primary education.
Building Futures Together
Period: 2024–2028
NPC’s current strategic plan reflects its expanded role supporting parents across Early Years, primary and post-primary education. It sets out priorities for parent representation, advocacy, participation, communication, research, Helpline and training services, strategic partnerships and effective governance, with a focus on better outcomes for all children and young people.

Parents as Partners: Children, Schools & Communities
Period: 2018–2022
Building on the previous strategy, this plan placed partnership between parents, children, schools and communities at the centre of NPC’s work. It focused on representing parents’ voices, advocacy, participation and service delivery, while expanding Early Years supports, developing regional structures and strengthening children’s participation in education.

Supporting Parents, Supporting Children
