Webwise Safer Internet Day 2026 is all about helping children and young people feel confident, informed and in control when it comes to AI and the online world.
For parents, that starts with conversations - asking questions, staying curious, and supporting children to think critically about what they see, use and share online.
Safer Internet Day takes place on Tuesday 10 February, and families, schools, and communities across Ireland are being encouraged to get involved and take part.
As a Safer Internet Centre partner, NPC is supporting this campaign — and as part of Safer Internet Day week, we’re also offering virtual Internet Safety Information Sessions for parents of primary school children.
These sessions give parents practical support to:
- engage in their children’s online lives
- understand online risks and benefits
- talk about issues like cyber-bullying
- set boundaries that work for their family
