This short video, by TUSLA's (Child and Family Agency) Child Safeguarding Statement Compliance Unit, provides information on what a child safeguarding statement is and is for infomation purposes only.

The video aims to help you, as a parent, understand the responsibilities of certain organisations to keep children safe while they are attending them.

We all want our children to be happy, to have opportunities to develop, grow and learn. To be able to try new things and make new friends. There are many situations where children are not in the direct care of their parents, these include when children are in school or creche,  when they attend after-school care, if they are involved in extracurricular activities, such as sport, music, or arts. There are also times when children may be vulnerable and require safetguarding from harm, such as if they are attending health care or therapeutic services of any kind.

Please watch this short video for further information.
