For the past 5 years NPC held a conference for parents of children with Special Educational Needs, in 2019, however, our conference date was very close to the date of the Ombudsman for Children's Office's (OCO) event for parents, children and young people of all abilities 'Beyond Limits 2019'. To facilitate parents' diaries and commitments NPC therefore joined with the OCO by hosting a consultation session at this event.
As you may know our conferences are free to attend, therefore the OCO waived the registration fee for parents and children who register through NPC. Tickets for parents and childrenwereallocated on a first come first served basis.
The event took place on:Saturday 19th October 2019, 11am - 4pm
In: Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin
Who was the event for?
Beyond Limits was a summit for children and young people with disabilities, for their parents, carers, siblings and friends. It was also of interest to those who work in the disability sector. Beyond Limits was designed with young people at its core. All of the content is driven by what they are interested in and information they are looking for. The OCO made every effort to facilitate all needs.
What is it about?
Beyond Limits was about empowering children and young people with disabilities, showing them the opportunities open to them, talking about the issues they want to talk about and highlighting inclusiveness.
Unfortunately this event has already taken place, therefore registration is now closed.
