The Government is developing a new set of rules and regulations for childminders in Ireland. The main purpose of regulating childminders is to protect and safeguard children, and to offer children high quality early learning and care.
This will provide a reduction in childminding fees for all families who use a registered childminder.
Who are these regulations for:
The regulations will apply to childminders who work in their own home, and who work alone. This does not include those that only look after relative’s children, such as grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The National Parents Council (NPC) would like to hear your views as parents on the type of rules and regulations you would want to see for registered childminders. To have your say, please click this link - https://forms.office.com/e/pppxW47T2d
