National Parents Council Primary (NPC) would like to invite you to a BEACONS (Bringing Education Alive for our Communities On a National Scale) event to discuss changes to the Primary School Curriculum in Ireland.

The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) is conducting a large-scale review and redevelopment of the Primary School Curriculum (1999). This work is an important opportunity to ask fundamental questions about what a curriculum should do and needs to do, first and foremost for children, teachers, school leaders, parents and society as we move further into the 21st century.

NPC will be running the BEACONS events on Tuesday the 29th of March in Dublin, on Wednesday the 30th of March in Sligo and on Thursday the 31st of March in Cork from 4pm-6pm. There will also be an online BEACONS event on Saturday the 2nd of April from 10am -3pm.

To register for these events, please complete the relevant registration link:

We would like to acknowledge the support provided by colleagues in the Teaching Council, the Education Centres and the NCCA, in the hosting of this event.
