What should I consider when helping my child choose Junior Cycle subjects?

Look at your child's interests and strengths, and review what subjects are compulsory or optional. Subject choice can influence Senior Cycle and future pathways.

What are the options if my child is struggling academically or socially?

Speak to their Year Head or Guidance Counsellor. Supports like learning plans, resource teaching, or counselling may be available.

How does Transition Year work, and is it right for my child?

TY is an optional one-year programme focused on personal development, maturity, and life skills. It's a good fit for students who need more time before starting the Leaving Cert.
