Information for Parents

Who can be involved with the Integration Group?

Any parent who has a child with special needs attending a mainstream primary school, where the parent association is affiliated to NPC or these parents can join NPC as individual members also.

Why should I be involved?

As the parent of a child with Special Needs, you are in the best position to judge how well the education system meets the needs of your child. By becoming a delegate you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the education system, which will benefit not only your child but all children with Special Needs. The best advocate that your child has is you.  If not you, then who?

How do I become a member of the Group?

When your parent association affiliates there is a form that must be filled out, there is a section on this form for a Parent of a child with Special Needs, this should be filled out with your details. Alternatively, you could become an individual/associate member of NPC by completing the form which is available under the Join Us short cut on the home page of this site.
